Defender insists Blues won't give up chase
Chelsea defender John Terry has revealed he still aims to win the Champions League trophy and keep the Premier League title at Stamford Bridge this season. The Blues have been in improved form of late and their five-match unbeaten run puts them amongst the chasers trailing Manchester United.
The London club, who will host Manchester City for a crucial showdown next Sunday, stand in fourth position, two points behind Roberto Mancini’s side and nine points behind United with a game in hand.
The Blues captain told reporters: "We won't give up chasing or fighting.
"All we can do is win our own games, keep going to the end and see what happens at the top.
"Our fans have kept faith with us this season and we owe it to the supporters to finish the season strongly, showing the quality we have and picking up big results."
FC Copenhagen travel to Stamford Bridge in midweek for the second leg of their last 16 tie with Chelsea clear favourites to win and snatch a place in the Champions League quarter-finals.
"We could still make this a good season and we're up for the challenge,” Terry added.
"It's time to show what we're capable of. This is a massive time for us."
