thumbnail Hello,

How would you line up Ancelotti's team for the trip to Eastlands?

Chelsea face their first real test in this season's Premier League campaign on Saturday as they come up against Manchester City.

After maximum points from their opening five games, they face the only team to beat them home and away last season.

The last time these two sides met, Manchester City ran out 4-2 winners at Stamford Bridge in a performance nobody expected, and, after their 4-3 home defeat to Newcastle United in the League Cup during midweek, how will Carlo Ancelotti line-up his men on Saturday?

With a team that (bar City) boasts more wins at Eastlands than any other Premier League side, maybe the tried and tested approach of a 4-3-3 is the way to go, but with Roberto Mancini's preference of playing at least two defensive midfielders, especially against the top sides, should Ancelotti go with a more defence-minded midfield to ensure quality possession?

Here is the available squad:

Goalkeepers: Petr Cech, Ross Turnbull, Henrique Hilario.

Defenders: Branislav Ivanovic, Ashley Cole, John Terry, Alex, Yury Zhirkov, Paulo Ferreira, Patrick van Aanholt, Jeffrey Bruma, Jose Bosingwa [knee injury].

Midfielders: Michael Essien, Ramires, Frank Lampard [groin injury], Yossi Benayoun [hamstring injury], John Obi Mikel, Josh McEachran.

Forwards: Didier Drogba, Nicolas Anelka, Salomon Kalou [leg injury], Florent Malouda, Daniel Sturridge, Gael Kakuta, Fabio Borini.

Here is Goal.com UK's prediction:

Cech; Ivanovic, Terry, Alex, Cole; Essien, Mikel, Ramires; Anelka, Drogba, Malouda.

4-3-3
