Atletico Madrid are set to offer unsettled Manchester City star David Silva an escape route back to Spain, according to Cadena Ser.
Silva, 23, started the Blues' opening Premier League match against Tottenham but has since been demoted to the substitute's bench. Manager Roberto Mancini has insisted the lightweight playmaker will need time to adapt to the frantic nature of the top flight.
Atletico are monitoring how successfully Silva's adapts to English football and are prepared to bring him back to the Primera Division.
Scouts have been posted to watch him in action with a view to a summer switch just a year after his £24 million move was agreed with Valencia.
