Attacker backed to outperform Nani at Old Trafford...

Bebé - Vitória de Guimarães
Bebe's former agent has revealed PSV Eindhoven turned down a free transfer swoop for the £7.4 million Manchester United attacker.

The 20-year-old's summer move to Old Trafford came as a shock as the unheralded player had only previously played in the Portuguese third division. Before making a short stay at top flight Vitoria Guimaraes, the player had been available for nothing after his contract at Estrala da Amador was cancelled after they failed to pay his wages.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Goncalo Reis stated the Dutch giants had rejected the newly called up Portugal under-21 star.

He said: "I offered him to PSV in May.

"But they turned him down because they didn't know him."

Reis also believed his former client would outshine Nani at the Theatre of Dreams.

"He has great potential," he added.

"For sure he will be better than Nani. He is a very good player."
