Official: Premier League Ratify West Ham United's Signing Of Blackburn Rovers Defender Lars Jacobsen
Hammers wrap up deal for right-back...
By Eliot Rothwell
The Premier League have today ratified the transfer of Lars Jacobsen to West Ham United.
The 30-year-old, signed from Premier League rivals Blackburn Rovers, has represented Denmark on 36 occasions.
West Ham become the former Hamburg player's third Premier League club after playing for Everton during the 2008-09 season, as well as featuring for Blackburn last year.
The right-back, however, failed to cement a first-team place at either of his previous Premier League clubs and will be competing with Julien Faubert, Jonathan Spector and Winston Reid to break into the starting line-up at Upton Park.
