David Moyes’ side racked up wins against Sydney FC and Melbourne Heart prior to Saturday’s match at the Suncorp Stadium.
Magaye Gueye’s tap in from Jose Baxter’s cross in the 83rd minute secured the victory for the Toffees.
Everton’s clean sheet in Australia was ruined after Brisbane equalised through Kosta Barbarouses in the 66th minute.
Jack Rodwell had opened the scoring four minutes after half time via a well-struck shot which looped over goalkeeper Michael Theoklitos.
Louis Saha was a constant threat to the Roar defence but was unable to find the net despite having a number of promising opportunities.
Fellow striker Jermaine Beckford was given his first start for Everton since completing his move from Leeds United.
Australian midfielder Tim Cahill did not play in the match as he was best man at teammate Mikael Arteta's wedding.
Everton starting XI: Turner; Coleman, Baines, Jagielka, Distin; Rodwell, Osman, Neville, Bilyaetdinov; Saha, Beckford.
