West Ham United striker Mido believes his fellow Egypt team-mate Mohamed Zidan has what it takes to be successful if he can persuade Tottenham Hotspur or Arsenal to sign him.
The Borussia Dortmund hitman will get the opportunity to measure himself against English opposition on Wednesday, when England host the Pharaohs at Wembley Stadium.
"Zidan is one of the great players for my country right now," said Mido, according to The Press Association.
"He is a second striker, more of a link man than an out-and-out goalscorer.
"He is very quick, confident on the ball and of course when the chance comes, the guy can score goals. He has done very well and is getting more and more attention."
The 28-year-old Egyptian has been touted to make a move to the English top-flight for some time now, and Mido believes that joining a club who play free-flowing football as opposed to a physical game would be the right move for him.
"Zidan could be successful in England if he goes to a good footballing club," he said.
"He needs to be in a team that plays good football, beautiful football like Arsenal.
"If he goes to a club who play a more physical game, it would not be so good for him.
"Maybe he could even fit in at one of my old teams, like Tottenham.
"They have some excellent players like Luka Modric, Niko Kranjcar and Tom Huddlestone."
Manchester United and Barcelona have also been linked with a move for the sought-after second striker in the past.
