thumbnail Hello,

Italian boss has sparked a trend at Eastlands...

While Manchester City look set to have a busy month in the transfer market, the club is also set to make another investment - in blue and white scarves.

New manager Roberto Mancini has unintentionally started a fashion trend at Eastlands by donning a 1950s-style sky blue and white scarf on match days since becoming manager at the end of December.

The Manchester Evening News reports that the club shop has been inundated with requests for the scarf, but as it was a limited edition many fans have been left disappointed.

But as Mancini chases a host of Europe's top players for his changing room, the newspaper reports the club will place large orders for the scarf to satisfy demand.
