Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is hopeful that injured pair Cesc Fabregas and Theo Walcott will return in time to face Everton at the Emirates on January 9.
The Arsenal captain suffered a recurrence of his hamstring injury after his second goal in Sunday’s 3-0 victory against Aston Villa.
Speaking at a press conference, Wenger said: "Cesc is [out for] 10 days. It can be 12. Let's say the only question mark we have is does he make Everton or not."
Walcott has had an injury hit season so far and missed Arsenal’s 4-1 win over Portsmouth on Wednesday but Wenger believes he might be fit in time for the match with Everton.
He said: "Walcott has a ripped muscle [in his side] and is out for 10 to 12 days."
Wenger also confirmed striker Nicklas Bendtner will be out for a further three weeks after he picked up a groin injury following a hernia operation.
Gael Clichy is still struggling with a back problem and it will be another three weeks before he returns to the Arsenal side.
