Blackburn Rovers Extend The Loan Of Chelsea's Franco Di Santo
Argentine striker will now remain at Ewood Park until the end of the season...
Blackburn Rovers have extended the loan deal of Chelsea striker Franco Di Santo until the end of the season.
The Argentine joined Sam Allardyce's side in August and his loan was due to expire in January.
However Chelsea have decided against recalling him, despite the loss of Salomon Kalou and Didier Drogba next month due to the African Cup of Nations.
A statement on the Blues' official website read: Franco Di Santo's loan spell at Blackburn Rovers has been extended until the end of the season.
Di Santo, 20, has made 15 appearances while at Ewood Park, but has so far only been able to muster a solitary goal in Blackburn colours, which came against Burnley.
