Maicon Unlikely To Leave Inter For Manchester City - Report
The marauding right-back will not rejoin his former coach at Eastlands...
Inter Milan right back Maicon appears to be staying at Giuseppe Meazza, according to the player's agent.
With former Nerazzuri boss Roberto Mancini now at the helm at the City of Manchester Stadium, speculation has been rife that the Italian would be keen to raid his former club for the swashbuckling Brazilian full back.
But Antonio Caliendo, the Brazilian's representative, expects his client to stay with the Italian champions for the time being at least, despite interest from Manchester City.
"This doesn't surprise me because Mancini knows Maicon like no other and together they did great things and won so much," he told fcinternews.it.
"But at Inter, Maicon has excellent terms with both the team and the club. And in any case I don't think he is a player who could move in January."
He also revealed that the Inter rejected a big money move, in the region of €40 million (£35 million), from an unnamed club in a previous transfer window.
"€40m? I don't establish the price, but I know that last year an offer of that amount was refused."
