Manchester City Striker Robinho: I Want A Meeting With Roberto Mancini
Samba star wants to clarify situation with new boss...
Manchester City striker Robinho has declared that he would like to meet with new manager Roberto Mancini to discuss the club's future.
The Brazilian has not been at his best this season, and it has been widely speculated that he is on the verge of a move to Spanish giants Barcelona.
However, the Samba star has spent the last two weeks reassuring the fans that he intends to prolong his stay at Eastlands, claiming that he could even ply his trade at the club for the next "10 years".
Now, following Mark Hughes' departure, the 25-year-old has revealed that he is eager to have a talk with the new gaffer.
"I want to talk with Mancini," Robinho is quoted in The Sun as saying.
"I've heard good news about his work and City still have plenty of time to finish the season well.
"The decision for Hughes to go was down to the owners but it did not come as a surprise after all the rumours.
"But the Champions League zone is not so far for us and we are in the Carling Cup semi-finals. Performances have not been so negative as some people think."
Mancini is set to be officially unveiled at a press conference on Monday.
