Aaron Ramsey Claims Jack Wilshere, Craig Eastmond & Fran Merida Can Join Him In Arsenal Seniors

Welshman talks up potential academy graduates...

Rising Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey believes Craig Eastmond, Fran Merida and Jack Wilshere are showing enough potential to make a sustained breakthrough into Arsene Wenger's senior side.

The French boss has steadily been introducing Ramsey into his first XI and, in a similar vein to the increasingly prominent role Theo Walcott enjoyed prior to his injury last term, the Welshman is growing into his role as an all-action midfielder.

The 18-year-old said to The News of the World: "You benefit from training with amazing players and you make different bonds. I'm friends with Nicklas Bendtner, Theo Walcott and Kieran Gibbs - the youngest players in the squad.

"And we have some great talent coming through with the likes of Jack Wilshire, Fran Merida and Craig Eastmond.

"I hope we can all prove we are worthy of getting into the first team."

He added: "It was surreal when I first joined and trained with so many world-class players.

"It took a few months to settle in but now I feel part of the club."
