Chelsea Scout Sampdoria Hitman Giampaolo Pazzini During Genoa Derby
Pazzini to Chelsea rumours intensify...
Chelsea are understood to be set to up their interest in Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini, with a view to a move for the player in January.
Rumours emerged earlier this month suggesting Blues manager Carlo Ancelotti was tracking the Italian's progress and could be interested in swooping for the 25-year-old.
Now, skysports.com is reporting that sporting director Frank Arnesen was present at the Genoese derby this weekend, which Sampdoria lost 3-0.
Ancelotti could be looking for reinforcements during the New Year, as he is set to lose Didier Drogba to international duty as the Ivory Coast participate in the African Cup of Nations.
Chelsea have also been handed a transfer reprieve recently, with their ban for the improper handling of the signing of youngster Gael Kakuta being suspended.
