Liverpool To Send Ryan Babel On Loan To Bayern Munich - Report

Liverpool are on the verge of letting Ryan Babel leave for Bayern Munich, according to the News of the World.

The tabloid claims that Reds manager Rafael Benitez is tired of the disgruntled Dutchman voicing his discontent at not receiving enough time on the pitch.

Babel's concerns have escalated since Netherlands boss Bert van Marwijk stated that his final squad for the World Cup will only consist of players who are making regular appearances for their club.

Now, it is believed that the forward's representatives are working overtime to push through a loan switch to the Allianz Arena, with Die Roten to be given a £9 million option to make the move permanent.

A source from the club allegedly said: "Rafa has totally blanked Babel since his outburst. He understands some of his concerns but has made it clear to the player more than once he will only play who he believes to be his strongest XI and won't budge

"Rafa cannot give Babel the assurances he needs with the World Cup coming up so he will let him go if he's not happy.

"The manager's only concern with this is that he won't be getting any money to improve the squad from the move."

There has been speculation that Babel will head to Bayern as a direct replacement to Luca Toni, who appears to be on his way out of the Bundesliga club.
