Sir Alex Ferguson Hints At Another Run Out For Manchester United Youngsters
More experience for budding Devils...
Fans at Old Trafford were left stunned when a largely second-string lineup slumped to a 1-0 defeat against Turkish outfit Besiktas on Wednesday night.
"We'll see how our programme is going at the time but I'd be confident in these players," Ferguson told ITV1.
The ageing boss admitted that a lack of experience was the cause behind the defeat, but insisted that the team will be much wiser for it.
"I think we were a bit anxious but it's not a bad thing - they're young and you expect them to make mistakes," he said.
""In the second half they [Besiktas] went very defensive, they stopped the game and played out time. It's difficult for young players to understand that, but it's a good experience for them."
