This comes in light of the Frenchman's recent proclamation that the north London club pay their players to do well at the Emirates, not to have one eye cast on the World Cup in South Africa.
The creative midfielder believes that players can fulfil their aspirations of travelling to the showpiece event by putting in stellar performances at club level.
"He [Wenger] wants Arsenal to do well and the international teams are secondary," Fabregas is quoted by BBC Sport as saying.
"Sometimes I don't play for Spain - I am on the bench. So definitely I want to play well for Arsenal to start in the World Cup.
"Definitely on my mind in a World Cup year is to play well with Arsenal and be a starter for Spain."
