Manchester United Striker Dimitar Berbatov Back To Full Fitness
Forward ready to fire goals for Bulgaria...
Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has asserted that he has recovered his match fitness and is sharp enough to play for Bulgaria against Malta on Wednesday night.
Berbatov injured his knee playing for United against Blackburn Rovers and has missed the Red Devils' last two games.
However, the joint has now recovered and he is expecting to play some part for his country against the Maltese.
"I received a kick in my knee during the Blackburn match and I needed some rest and some treatment, but I'm okay now and I'll play in Malta," Berbatov said, according to Sky Sports.
The striker could also beat Hristo Stoichkov's record goals tally of 47 for Bulgaria. A hat-trick against Georgia last month took him to 46 international goals, and beating the record is certainly in Berbatov's mind.
"I'm thinking about it (the record), of course," he added.
"I've scored many goals so far and I hope that with the help of my team-mates I'll do it."
