West Ham 1-2 Everton: Toffees Hold On For Crucial Away Win
Louis Saha and Dan Gosling did the damage...
Everton recorded only their second away win of the season after beating Gianfranco Zola's West Ham 2-1 at Upton Park.
Louis Saha opened the scoring on 27 minutes with an excellent strike against the run of play in a first-half of few chances.
The home side came out positively after the break but found themselves 2-0 down after Dan Gosling found the net at the second time of asking in the 64th minute.
The Hammers' response was immediate, forcing an own-goal from Tony Hibbert as the defender attempted to clear Junior Stanislas' effort 65 minutes in.
West Ham pressed forward in search of an equaliser but the Everton defence held strong and were able to cling on to a valuable three points.
