Birthday boy Joe Cole has maintained that all his focus tomorrow will be on his Chelsea side defeating Manchester United, and not his own personal milestones.
The England international, who turns 28 tomorrow, says that his pre-match rituals will stay exactly the same in the lead-up to the much anticipated battle against the Devils at Stamford Bridge.
As he said on the Chelsea website: “Matchdays are a nightmare for me to be honest,” he began, “If I could I would stay at home, I find the day boring just sitting in my hotel room and relaxing, so I would prefer to just turn up and play.
He added: “I try to concentrate on relaxing before a game, and I do that best with company, but obviously everyone is different.”
Turning 28 is seen in the football-world as a personal landmark, as it is said to be the age in which a player begins to hit their peak.
