Liverpool Were Unlucky In Lyon - Arsenal Boss Arsene Wenger
La Professeur feels for a Reds outfit that should have notched up a win...
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that Liverpool were unlucky to claim only a draw against Lyon during their Champions League clash on Wednesday night.
Whilst he was not able to watch the match in its entirety due to the Gunners’ 4-1 thumping of AZ Alkmaar, Wenger has detailed that from what he saw, the Reds should have taken home the spoils.
Wenger has credited the heroics of France’s number one goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, as the main reason why the Reds could not post a win.
“They faced a goalkeeper who will be a fantastic goalkeeper,” he told Arsenal's official club site.
Wenger also showed empathy for the Merseysiders, who are facing current crisis which is affecting all facets of their game.
“At the moment they are in a period where no matter what they do, it goes against them,” he said.
