Michael Ballack: Chelsea Can Score At Any Time

The German midfielder is in no doubt about his side's potent goal threat…

Michael Ballack has acknowledged that Chelsea were not at their best in last night's exciting draw at Atletico Madrid, but feels one major positive came from the game.

The German feels that Didier Drogba's two late strikes - the second of which appeared to have won the game - showed that the Blues can score goals at any time and against the run of play.

"We didn't play very well but we still showed that we can score any minute," Ballack told his club's official website.

"Even if we are 1-0 down, the team has shown it has the confidence to change a game from the last week's, when we played very good.

"We were a little bit unlucky to concede to make it 2-2 but I think the result is fair and that is the minimum we needed - a draw - and now we are looking forward to fighting for first place."

Ballack also hailed the performance of two-goal hero Drogba.

"Didier is absolutely fantastic and the second goal was world class," he added.

"It shows you can't lose him in any moment of the match. He is one of the best, for sure, he shows it week after week and that is why he is playing for Chelsea."
