Werder Bremen forward Aaron Hunt has ruled out appearing for England, but admits that he is flattered by reports that Fabio Capello has kept tabs on him.
The 23 year old has yet to make his senior debut for Germany, and has been scouted by England Under 21 coach Stuart Pearce after hitting a purple patch with five goals in his last five Bundesliga games.
Hunt, eligible to play for both nations through his English mother and German father, has stated that he would always opt to play for Germany if he were forced to make a decision.
"I grew up in Germany and learned to play football here," he told German newspaper BILD.
"I would of course be flattered by any interest from England, but I have not heard anything about it and it wouldn't even be an issue for me."
"I only want to play for Germany and am not going to be tempted [to change my mind] either."
"I have already said a few times that I want to play for Germany," he added.
