Emmanuel Adebayor: Cesc Fabregas Will Leave If Arsenal Miss Out On Champions League
Ade swipes at Gunners fans...
Emmanuel Adebayor has taken another stab at former club Arsenal - this time suggesting that skipper Cesc Fabregas will quit if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.
The Manchester City striker suggested that the Gunners' quality players - like Fabregas - will depart if not offered the carrot of Europe's elite club competition.
"I think players like Fabregas will look to leave if they are not in the Champions League, but my focus is all on City now," Adebayor said in The Daily Mirror.
Adebayor could not resist taking a swipe at Arsenal fans, hinting that the matchgoers at the Emirates were not supportive enough of their players.
He said: "Football is more [than] kicking a ball and tackling. There is a connection between people, players, fans that takes it to the highest level.
"When that is missing, everything falls apart. You need to feel loved and that is what I feel at City."
