Chelsea's Frank Lampard Hails England Goalscorer Peter Crouch
Spurs striker possesses an important knack...
Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has hailed the performance last night of Tottenham Hotspur forward Peter Crouch, who bagged a brace in the Three Lions' win over Belarus.
An effort from Shaun Wright-Phillips completed a comfortable 3-0 win, but it was the regularity with which Crouch finds the net in an England shirt that impressed Lampard.
"He is a regular scorer. Every time he plays for England he seems to score," Lampard told Sky Sports News.
"It is great to have that competition up front. He has come in with a chance and has done his stuff."
Crouch brings another option into the squad as well, with his aerial threat complemented by good touch and, most important of all, a deadly eye for goal.
"He is a very different option for us. He is very good in the air, but also very good with his feet. Plus, he scores goals," Lampard concluded.
