Arsenal midfielder Denilson has been ruled out of action for two months due to a fracture in his back.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger confirmed the news ahead of the the club's Champions League clash with Olympiacos on Tuesday night.
The Brazilian's last appearance in an Arsenal shirt came in the hot-tempered Premier League game with Manchester City on September 12 in which he was forced off the pitch eight minutes after half time.
Wenger told the official club website: "Denilson has a small fracture in his back. He will be out for two months."
Gunners striker Nicklas Bendtner will also miss Tuesday night's match with minor injuries after crashing his Aston Martin car on Sunday morning.
