Injured Arshavin To Miss Next Three Arsenal Games
The Russian playmaker will be absent for the games against Manchester City and Standard Liege...
Andrey Arshavin will miss Arsenal's next three games after aggravating a groin injury whilst on international duty with Russia against Wales last night, according to a report from the London club.
The playmaker has been suffering with the problem for a while, and it forced him to sit out his country's game against Liechtenstein on Saturday.
However, he played the whole 90 miniutes for Guus Hiddink's side in the qualifier against the Welsh last night, helping contribute to a 3-1 win, and participating in the game has exacerbated the injury to such an extent that it now appears he will miss his club's next two vital games.
Arsenal travel to Eastlands to face unbeaten Manchester City on Saturday, before moving onto Belgium to open their Champions League campaign against Standard Liege on Wednesday.
