Harry Redknapp Sure Niko Kranjcar Will Succeed At Tottenham Hotspur

The Spurs boss thinks his new midfielder will fit in well at White Hart Lane...

Tottenham Hotspur today completed the signing of Niko Kranjcar from Portsmouth, and Spurs manager Harry Redknapp is very pleased to add the creative midfielder to the Croatian contingent at White Hart Lane.

Redknapp feels that Kranjcar, a skilful player who is pleasing on the eye to watch, will fit right in at Spurs, a club with a tradition of passing, attacking football.

"He's a good player. I've got two Croatian boys here who are absolutely fantastic professionals and great players," Redknapp affirmed, speaking to Sky Sports News.

"He's a terrific  footballer and I just felt that as it was his last year of his contract at Portsmouth, so it was a good deal."

Indeed, Redknapp felt that the deal had worked out well for all parties, Portmsouth, Tottenham and the player, with Pompey receiving a worthwhile fee for a player who was coming to the end of his time at Fratton Park, though the actual size of the price tag has not yet been disclosed.

"Portmsouth did okay as well, it was decent money for them for a player in his last year, and it was a good signing for us" he added.

"So both clubs are happy with the outcome and I'm sure he's a real Tottenham player. He's got great ability and he'll do well here."
