Blackburn Rovers Move Interests Benfica Midfielder Hassan Yebda
The 25-year-old Algerian is open to a transfer to the Premier League...
Benfica midfielder Hassan Yebda has admitted he would be interested in playing for Blackburn Rovers.
The French-born Algerian is unsure of how developed the Lancashire side's interest in him is, but he is full of admiration for Rovers manager Sam Allardyce.
"I am waiting, I am not aware of things but I know there have been some enquiries," Yebda told Sky Sports.
"We still have five days for the market to close, so let's wait and see. Blackburn are a good team with a very well known manager."
The Ewood Park club are the latest in a long line of clubs to be linked with Yebda this summer, with Inter, Bordeaux and Everton reportedly harbouring intentions to swoop for him previously. Yebda has four years of experience playing in French football, turning out for Auxerre and Le Mans, as well as a season at Benfica.
The Portuguese club have reportedly set a €4 million (£3.5m) asking price for the midfielder, and Allardyce may seek to reinvest some of the money obtained from Stephen Warnock's impending sale to Aston Villa in purchasing the Algerian.
