Report: Cattermole Future Uncertain As Wigan Athletic Land Diame & Amaya
The Latics have pulled off quite a coup, but their prized ball-winner could be headed for the exit...
Diame is a particularly significant signing for the Greater Manchester outfit, as the French midfielder has been closely tracked by the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Arsenal.
The 22-year-old and Amaya, 26, join the Latics - now managed by Catalan-born Roberto Martinez - in a deal that Goal.com Spain reports to be in the region of €3.8 million.
This bit of business has led to speculation that Cattermole could be allowed to leave the club, as the England Under-21 star has no shortage of Premier League suitors.
Liverpool, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are all thought to be interested in the player, but Sunderland lead the pack and are reportedly preparing a third bid for the ex-Middlesbrough man.
