A Twitter page understood to belong to Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent has featured a series of frustrated verbal attacks directed at club chairman Daniel Levy.

Bent looks to be on his way out of White Hart Lane this summer, with Sunderland his most desired destination, though Stoke City and Hull City have both emerged as interested parties.

Levy is thought to be entertaining bids from all three clubs, which seems to have irked the former Charlton Athletic hitman.

“Seriously getting p***** off now,” a 'tweet' at the 'db10thetruth' Twitter page read on Thursday.

The posting continued, “Why can’t anything be simple. It’s so frustrating hanging round doing jack s***.

“Do I wanna go Hull City NO. Do I wanna go stoke NO do I wanna go sunderland YES so stop f****** around, Levy.”

It is thought that officials at the north London club are set to launch an investigation into whether or not the page really belongs to Bent, but it appears to be largely accepted as authentic by the UK press.

Twitter is currently all the rage amongst celebrities and sports stars, and was involved in Ashes cricket controversy yesterday as Australian batsman Phil Hughes announced through his page that he had been dropped from the latest Test match at Edgbaston.
