Fiorentina Target Emmanuel Eboue Appears To Bid Arsenal Fans Farewell
The utility man seemed to be saying goodbye at the end of the Gunners' friendly today...
That potential switch was perhaps given some extra credence this afternoon, when, at the end of Arsenal's 1-0 victory over German outfit Hannover 96 in Austria today, the player removed his shirt and threw it to the Arsenal fans, as though he was saying goodbye.
Eboue's potential switch would be another significant departure on a day when centre-back Kolo Toure joined Manchester City in a deal reported to be worth £15 million, joining his fellow former Gunner Emmanuel Adebayor at Eastlands.
Eboue received some pretty intense barracking at times from the Emirates faithful last season, and perhaps fans will welcome this possible exit a little more than those of Toure and Adebayor.
Concerns linger amongst supporters though that Arsenal are turning into a 'selling club', with ambitious players choosing to move on, and they will hope that manager Arsene Wenger will move to use some of the proceeds of the sales very soon.
