The Ivorian's long-awaited Citizenship could be finalised imminently...A second Ashburton Grove exit could be concluded today as Kolo Toure, Arsenal's last remaining first-team regular from the famous unbeatable "Invincibles" of 2003-04, is heading to Manchester City to undergo a medical, according to sources at Sky Sports News.
The deal is expected to fetch Arsenal £16 million, to add to the £25m received from the Emmanuel Adebayor deal. Furthermore, there are escalating rumours that Toure's fellow international Emmanuel Eboue could also be sold this week which would bump Arsenal's received transfer fees to £50m.
Mark Hughes' overseeing of an Eastlands revolution has unravelled this summer. Following two transfer windows where modest sums were spent in comparison to Chelsea when the Blues were first allowed to toy with the roubles of Roman Abramovich, City have now not held back.
Should Toure complete his medical (he has only had one minor groin strain since the start of the year), then he will join fellow new recruits Roque Santa Cruz, Carlos Tevez, Gareth Barry, and the aforementioned Adebayor, taking City's spending to an astonishing £95m.
The 28-year-old is believed to pen a four-year deal with the M11 side.
