'Harry Hotspur' vents his defensive woes...
The 62-year-old gaffer had previously said that defenders were not a priority, but injuries to key players have forced him to think again.
Michael Dawson, Jonathan Woodgate and Ledley King are all currently nursing their own respective injuries - causing Redknapp to drastically alter his original plans.
"We weren't thinking of buying anyone in defence but this problem has come up all of a sudden and it leaves us short," Sky Sports quote the Spurs boss as saying.
"Suddenly your priorities change and you think maybe we'll have to do something about getting a centre-half in for the start of the season because we have no central defenders."
The acquisition and integration of a new centre-back puts a serious spanner in the works as the London-born manager looks to improve on last season's eighth place finish in the Premier League.
