Bolton Wanderers Close In On Lee Chung-Yong, Ferrie Bodde & Zat Knight - Report
Bolton boss Gary Megson confirms club are close to signings...
Bolton Wanderers are close to securing the signings of a trio of players, reported to be South Korean Lee Chung-Yong, Swansea City's Ferrie Bodde and Aston Villa defender Zat Knight.
Bolton manager Gary Megson has already secured the loan signings of West Bromwich Albion defender Paul Robinson and Portsmouth's Sean Davis this summer, and he has revealed some new additions could soon be on their way.
While Megson stopped short of naming the three speculated signings, he did confirm Wanderers are nearing the confirmation of some new purchases who would strengthen the squad, something he believes the club is in dire need of.
"We are really close to getting three transfers sorted, and we need them because this squad is nowhere near strong enough," he told The Bolton News.
"[Club chairman] Phil Gartside has got a list of players who I feel would strengthen us, and there are also the names of players who we would allow to leave the club, but we have got to get a lot busier if that is to happen.
"This is going to be a vitally important transfer window for us if we intend to move forward, and ideally I'd like to be a bit further down the road than we are right now."
