Wigan Athletic Rule Out Lee Cattermole Sale
Roberto Martinez has stated Wigan will not even contemplate selling the midfielder...
Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez has reiterated that Lee Cattermole will not be sold under any circumstances.
Former Wigan manager Steve Bruce has been trying to lure Cattermole to Sunderland all summer, and has already seen two bids rejected.
Speaking to The Sun, Martinez confirmed that selling Cattermole was not an option.
He said, "Lee is not for sale - end of story. He is a fantastic player."
Sunderland's most recent bid for Cattermole was worth £6 million and was immediately rejected, as Wigan have no intention of selling a player who has only been with them for one season.
