La Primera outfit Real Zaragoza have completed the signing of Jermaine Pennant after the player was recently released by Liverpool.

The Spanish club had been linked with the Englishman in recent weeks, but today signed the winger on a three-year deal.

"I wanted to come to Spain and I had offers from important teams in Europe but joined Real Zaragoza," said Pennant, as quoted by the Guardian.

"I really want to get started and do well in the league."

Pennant joins the recently promoted side as they look to mount a fresh assault on the Spanish top-flight.
