Sporting's Miguel Veloso is wanted by many European clubs.
Aston Villa are reportedly preparing a bid for Miguel Veloso, after Bolton Wanderers saw their offer rejected.

Sporting Lisbon are asking for €13.8 million for the 23-year-old, having turned down Bolton's €9.25m offer.

Now, according to The Mirror, Villa are ready to match Sporting's asking price as they seek a replacement for Gareth Barry.

Veloso is keen to sort out his future soon, and he said recently, "I am prepared to move abroad - but I don't want things in doubt for the entire summer."

In three seasons at Sporting, Veloso has made 66 league appearances, while winning seven caps for Portugal.
