Emmanuel Adebayor Will Stay At Arsenal – Agent
The striker's representative has confirmed that the striker will remain in north London next season...
Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor looks set to shun a move to Italy and remain with the Gunners, according to a report in The Observer.
The Togo international has long been linked with an Emirates exit, with Milan appearing the most likely destination, although Chelsea, Inter and Barcelona have also been rumoured to be interested in signing the striker.
However, he now looks set to stay at Arsenal, after the player’s agent, Stephane Courbis, admitted he did not want to leave the club.
Asked by Observer Sport whether Adebayor would be leaving Arsenal he replied, “No, no”.
When asked if the striker definitely wanted to stay at the club, the agent said, “Yes. It's the same [situation] as last week.”
His words echo that of manager Arsene Wenger, who admitted, earlier this week, that he expected Adebayor to still be at the club next season.
The news is also a further boost to Arsenal, with fellow striker Robin van Persie also set to sign a new deal five year deal with the club in the coming days.
