Back To Haunt You - Jeremie Aliadiere celebrates another equaliser for Middlesbrough against his former club Arsenal
Middlesbrough striker Jeremie Aliadiere is a target for Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish, according to The Daily Mail.

The Scotsman is keen to bolster his squad in time for the new Premier League season and, it is believed that the French striker could be on his way to St. Andrews.

The former Arsenal attacker would cost the Blues around £3.5 million, and the Frenchman could be tempted by a move back to England's top flight.

Boro were relegated on the last day of the season and it was thought that many of their top players would be leaving the club over the summer.

However, young goalkeeper Ross Turnbull remains the only first team player to leave the club during the transfer window so far, with the 24-year-old signing on a free transfer with Premier League giants Chelsea.

Stewart Downing, Tuncay Sanli and David Wheater are all rumoured to be leaving Gareth Southgate's side, with the club having to reduce the wage bill in order to cope with the financial loss that comes with being relegated.

26-year-old Aliadiere could yet team up with former Gunners team-mate Patrick Vieira, who has been heavily linked with a move to St.Andrews recently as McLeish looks to buy players with top flight experience.

Aliadiere has been at the Riverside since his £2 million move from Arsenal in 2007, and has since played 58 league games for the club, scoring seven goals.
