Chelsea defender Ryan Bertrand is the subject of some speculation linking him with a move to Championship side Reading.
The Premier League giants are looking to loan out the defender for the season and Royals boss Brendan Rodgers is thought to be interested in securing the deal.
The young Blues defender has spent most of his career with the club on loan to lower league sides.
The 19-year-old has not yet made a first team appearance for the Blues and has spent the past three years on loan at Bournemouth, Oldham Athletic and Norwich City.
His performances for the Canaries last season obviously impressed, as now Championship promotion contenders Reading, as well as a number of other top of the table sides are thought to be interested in acquiring his services.
The young left-back has made one appearance for the England Under-21 side and has been part of the national setup at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-20 level since 2005.
The highly-rated youngster is in need of first team experience, and it is thought that a move to Reading would be good for the player, who worked with Royals boss Rodgers when the latter was part of the Blues coaching setup.
