Birmingham City Close To Securing Lee Bowyer
The Blues believes the midfielder will soon be playing at St. Andrew's on a permanent basis...
Bowyer spent the second half of last season on loan at St. Andrew's, and McLeish believes it is only a matter of time before he makes a permanent move. Having been released by West Ham United, he is now a free agent.
Speaking to the club's official website, McLeish said, "We believe Lee will rejoin the cause and that we can add other midfielders - one, possibly two before the season starts."
Should Bowyer sign, he will be the sixth acquisition of the summer, while Brum are continuing their pursuit of Patrick Vieira.
Bowyer played 17 times for Birmingham during his loan spell, scoring once.
