Lille Quote Tottenham €14m For Michel Bastos - Report

The French club are willing to sell their samba star to Spurs, but he won't come cheap...

Ligue 1 : Michel Bastos (Lille)
Tottenham Hotspur have been told to pay €14 million if they want to sign Michel Bastos, The Daily Mail claims.

Spurs have been chasing the Brazilian midfielder for some time as Harry Redknapp looks to bring balance to the squad he inherited from Juande Ramos last year.

However, that may just be a starting price, as many other Premier League clubs, most notably Aston Villa, are chasing the player.

Bastos is keen on a move to England, as Brazil boss Dunga has apparently promised him a national call-up if he moves to a stronger competition.

The Brazilian enjoyed a prolific 2008-09 season with Lille, scoring 13 goals from midfield.
