Manchester United are set to continue their quest for a striker by tabling a bid for Luis Fabiano.

Michael Owen seems all set to arrive at Old Trafford on a free transfer pending a medical, but Sir Alex Ferguson is still keen on more attacking reinforcements, especially given Owen's recent injury record.

According to The Mirror, Man United will submit an €18.7 million bid to Sevilla for the Brazilian striker, who was recently the subject of a €16.2m offer from Milan.

In 105 games for Sevilla, Fabiano has found the back of the net 47 times. He won the Golden Boot in the recent Confederations Cup with five goals, including two in the final.
