Portsmouth Release Five Players, Including Former Arsenal Star Lauren
Lauren, Noe Pamarot, Jerome Thomas and Glen Little are now all free agents.
Lauren, Noe Pamarot, Jerome Thomas and Glen Little are now consequently available to sign for another club on a free transfer. Meanwhile, Djimi Traore has already been snapped up by French outfit Monaco.
Two other players, former Arsenal stars Sol Campbell and Nwankwo Kanu, have also passed the end of their current deals, but the former could enter discussions with Pompey, despite interest from abroad, while the latter is considering a one-year extension.
Portsmouth executive chairman Peter Storrie told the club's official website, "Kanu has the option of another year which he is considering."
Meanwhile, a clutch of contracted stars have been linked with moves elsewhere. The Daily Mail believe Sylvain Distin could be a target for Aston Villa, who lost key defender Martin Laursen to an injury-enforced retirement.
