Tottenham Hotspur Midfielder Jermaine Jenas Praises Aaron Lennon
Lennon is the best right winger in England, says 'JJ'...
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jermaine Jenas has praised team-mate Aaron Lennon, claiming he is among the best wingers in the country.
Lennon's performances this season saw him nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award, which he narrowly lost out on to Ashley Young.
And Jenas believes the sort of attention the England international has garnered this season is warranted.
"Aaron was brilliant," Jenas told the club’s official website. "All the accolades and praise he received are well deserved.
"I'm one of his biggest fans. He worked really hard, played through injury towards the end of the season and did everything that was asked of him.
"I really can't say enough about the lad, his attitude and character. For me, he's the best right winger in England."
Lennon had played his way back into the England squad under Fabio Capello towards the end of the season. However, injury forced him out of the running for the World Cup qualifiers with Kazakhstan and Andorra.
