Aston Villa Contemplating Bid For Arsenal's Philippe Senderos - Report
The Swiss stopper does not appear to have a future at Ashburton Grove, but Villa are ready to offer him a new home...
Aston Villa are pondering a move for out-of-favour Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos.
Senderos spent last season on loan at Milan, but the Rossoneri declined the chance to purchase him outright, despite the player wanting to stay at the San Siro.
And now, according to the Daily Mail, Villa are preparing a bid.
Arsenal are rumoured to expect at least £5 million for Senderos, who does not appear to have a future at the Emirates, given the signing of Thomas Vermaelen and Arsene Wenger's interest in other defenders, such as Stuttgart's Serdar Tasci.
Since joining the Gunners in 2003, Senderos has made 64 appearances for the club.
