Tyrone Mears Has Signed Burnley Contract - Agent
After the clubs agreed a fee just over a week ago, the right-back has now put pen to paper on his contract...
Tyrone Mears has inked a three-year contract with Premier League new-boys Burnley this morning.
"Tyrone has agreed personal terms and passed a medical at Burnley, and has agreed a three-year deal," his agent, Willie McKay, confirmed in The Lancashire Telegraph.
"He is really excited by the move and is looking forward to helping Burnley in their first season in the Premier League."
Mears, who spent last season on loan with Olympique de Marseille, leaves Derby County where he has plied his trade since 2007. The deal is thought to be worth £500,000 plus add ons for the 26-year-old right-back.
Manager Owen Coyle has a number of other transfer targets in the pipeline, with the signing of out-of-contract David Edgar believed to be completed imminently.
They are also expected to break the club transfer record by more than double as they look to finalise a deal for Hibernian's Steven Fletcher for a reported £3.5m.
