Fernando Torres & Leo Messi To Become The New Faces Of Pro Evolution Soccer

The silky Spaniard and the Argentinean starlet are to front the European edition of the popular video game.

Liverpool's Fernando Torres celebrates his opener against Chelsea in the Champions League. It didn't last long though.
Prolific Liverpool striker Fernando Torres, who has scored 50 goals in 84 appearances in all competitions while sporting Liverpool's iconic all-red kit, will share the cover of popular video game Pro Evolution Soccer with Barcelona's livewire forward Lionel Messi next season.

Torres informed the club's official website, "Everyone knows that when it comes to football simulation, Konami's PES series is by far the most realistic title available.

"The new game looks absolutely stunning, and I look forward to seeing myself in action in PES 2010."

Pro Evo's European team leader, Jon Murphy, was delighted to land Torres, adding, "Fernando has established himself as one of the most exciting strikers in the game.

"He encapsulates everything that is good about the modern game, showcasing both pace, skill and vision - three elements that play a major part in PES 2010 as a football simulation."

Other cover stars include Francesco Totti, Thierry Henry, John Terry and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The new Pro Evo will be available on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, PSP, Playstation 2, PC-DVD and mobile phones from autumn.
