thumbnail Hello,

'Nando would love 'El Guaje' at Anfield but has tipped him to stay in Spain...

Liverpool striker Fernando Torres has claimed that his international team-mate David Villa is not tempted by a move to either Chelsea or Manchester United.

The Valencia forward is one of the hottest properties on the continent at the moment and looks set to leave the Mestalla this summer.

Real Madrid appear favourites to sign the 27-year-old and whilst both Chelsea and Manchester United have been linked with a move for the player, Torres insists they have no chance.

“I think Villa will play in Spain next year,” Torres told the Sunday Mirror.

“It's his decision but I think he will be in Spain.”

Torres also admitted he would love to see Villa join him at Anfield but admitted that was unlikely, as his price tag put him out of the Reds’ reach.

“I don't think Chelsea's money will tempt him, or United,” he explained.

“I would like him to come to Liverpool of course but I think he is too expensive for us.”

Both men are currently in South Africa for the Confederations Cup and played in last night’s 2-0 win over the hosts, with Villa netting the opener after missing a penalty.
